Live acts are usually local musicians, (Singer's Night is Wednesday - turn up with yer geetar and play) with the odd appearance of semi-professionals from further afield. The juke box is predominantly heavy rock, as is the leaning of more of the regulars.

Regulars are just as likely to frequent the Dog & Partrige around the corner as both are heavy rock / biker type pubs - the latter more so.

Although this pub could be classed as a heavy rock pub, there isn't any fighting or drug problems usually associated with this type of pub. Most locals are friendly and out to enjoy themselves.

The Brit has recently had a facelift since the new Landlady took over from her parents in the late 1990's and the heavy rock brigade aren't as prominant.
